Monday, November 11th. Happy Veteran's Day! No classes!

Cougars!! tomorrow will be the last day for Coin War!! Please help our school district & Rio Rico Rotary ensure that families in our community have a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. Donate all of your loose change to the Calabasas Coin War.  We ask that you send the change to school with your child.  Your child will then turn in the money to their teacher if they are in elementary, and to their SSR teacher if they are in middle school. Padres, Por favor ayude a nuestro distrito escolar & Club Rotario de Rio Rico garantiza que las familias de nuestra comunidad tengan una maravillosa comida de Acción de Gracias. Done todas sus monedas sueltas a Calabasas Coin War. Le pedimos que envíe el cambio a la escuela con su hijo. Halloween Parade!

Celebrating Día de Muertos with Altares As part of the Día de Muertos tradition, students create altares (altars) to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away. These altars, often vibrant and full of symbolic elements, are a way to welcome the spirits back for a night of celebration. Día de Muertos is a time for families to come together to celebrate life, memory, and the connection between past and present generations. The altares are not just tributes but expressions of love and respect, keeping the memories of our loved ones alive in a colorful, heartfelt way. Thank You for Making Trunk or Treat a Success! We want to extend a huge thank you to all our families who joined our Trunk or Treat Halloween event. Your creativity, enthusiasm, and support made this event truly special and fun for everyone! You helped create a safe and memorable celebration for our students and community. October 28th - November 1st Spirit Week!

3rd-5th Grade Cougar Families, our 1st Elementary Fun Run will be on Friday, October 25th at RRHS—only students who turned in the permission slips on October 11th. Parents must pick up students by 4:45 pm. The first race is at 3:10 pm. See you there! Familias Cougar de 3.º a 5.º grado, nuestra primera carrera divertida de primaria será el viernes 25 de octubre en RRHS; solo los estudiantes que entregaron las hojas de permiso el 11 de octubre. Los padres deben recoger a los estudiantes antes de las 4:45 pm. La primera carrera es a las 3:10 pm. ¡Nos vemos allí!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 23rd, students can wear a pink-appropriate top/shirt/t-shirt with uniform bottoms. Also, we are having early release. Octubre es el mes de la concientización del cáncer de mama! Mañana miércoles 23 de octubre, los estudiantes podrán vestirse con camiseta/blusa/playera apropiada con los pantalones de uniforme. También los alumnos saldrán temprano de la escuela.
