A Message from our Principal

Dear Parents,

We are already well into the second portion of the school year, and our students are doing quite well. I am proud of your child's accomplishments and growth over the course of this school year. Spring testing is happening soon, and the results will help drive the teaching and learning that goes on at Mountain View for the remainder of this year and into the next. You can help us prepare your students for meaningful results by having them practice Compass Learning at home. Your child's teacher should have sent you information on how to do this. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher. Please speak with your child about their Compass Learning use if you have not already. You may also inquire about it at our upcoming student-led parent-teacher-student conferences on February 9. Additionally, please remember to help us help your child by observing the following:

  • Leave for school early and plan to arrive no later than 7:25 a.m. each and every morning. This will ensure students are in class when the bell rings. Please do not arrive late. Students arriving late disrupt learning for all.
  • Help your children be present by getting enough rest and staying healthy so they can be at school each and every day.
  • Create time at home for students to do homework and read nightly.
  • Communicate with teachers and administrative team whenever needed. We are here to serve your children and your family.
  • Talk with your children about what they can do to reach their personal best every day.

Mountain View continues to look at ways to make your children's school experience one of excellence. As always, we aim to keep your kids safe, healthy, happy, and in a position to receive the best education possible each and every day. Thank you for your support and partnership in doing that with us.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me at 375-8402.

Go Mountain Lions!

Gratefully, Your Partner In Teaching and Learning,

Principal Jackson
